back from the operating table

Finally, I had a long overdue operation in my right shoulder last June 2 at SDF Yokosuka Hospital. It was a 5-hour operation and I was in full-body anesthesia. I've heard that they had done the "Brissow" method and put a screw in my shoulder. I was required to stay in the hospital for at least two weeks but... i can't afford to be behind in my academics here so I requested the doctor to let me go home after just one week. Well, I was able to convince him to let me go home... but the wound was still fresh, and it was painful. I had to take pain killers three times a day after meals, but the effect of the pain killers only last for several hours; meaning I had to endure the pain from midnight until I wake up in the morning (that is... if I can sleep!). The nights are so long and painful and the days are worse coz I can't use my right arm.

Now, I'm on my 9th day and the wound is healing. They will remove the stiches (actually, stalplers... if you will look in the picture closely) on the 14th and I still have to immobilize my right arm for a week after that. Then my 2-3 months rehabilitation starts.

Sorry for my long absence... I was busy fixing my heart.
